Omletteer

Ninsi decided that she wanted an omlette for her birthday. So yesterday, I learned how to make an omlette. I'd never done it before. I stopped at Kroger on the way home, and picked up most of what I thought Id need (i.e. eggs). We had eggs, but I figured Id be making 2-3 attempts so extra would be useful.

My first attempt, was not a complete failure. But it wasn't right. I decided that my pan was all wrong for omlette making, but I couldn't find the pan that I wanted. So back to the store real quick for a proper omlette sized pan.

I started my second attempt, and while it was cooking, the dogs got to eat the first one. All Ninsi wanted was a basic ham and cheese omlette. So, I cooked it, let it start seperating from the pan, added the filling, and walla, instant omlette. Ninsi declared it to be more visually appealing than any attempt she had ever made. She then proceeded to eat the whole thing, even though I repeatedly told her that if it was less than really good, I would happily remake the whole thing. But since she ate it all, Im guessing it was at least as appealing to the palate as to the eye.

That's really all I ask for when I cook. That my food tastes at least as good as it looks.

Then I made an omlette for myself. Remembering to actually spice the eggs a little bit. I think the only problem was not actually cooking it long enough. It was a little bit runny, but nothing severe. I'll have to work on that.
